Today, Disney Parks Blog released exciting new details about the food offerings at the new Art of Animation Resort opening at Walt Disney World this coming May. Keeping with their tradition of providing dining options that are feasible for families, Disney’s latest food court, the Landscape of Flavors, will be affordable and offer Disney delicacies for all ages and will be on the Disney Dining Plan.

The resort will feature five “better-for-you” shops featuring dishes prepared fresh as you order. The location will also offer a number of specialty beverages that promise to tempt both kids AND adults. And yes, mom and dad, alcoholic beverages will be available!

The Soup-Salad-Sandwich Shop will allow diners to craft their own salad or choose from two freshly made sandwiches (a caprese sandwich with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes on focaccia or a Buffalo-style turkey sandwich with arugula and a blue cheese-Buffalo sauce-mayo spread).

The World Flavors Shop adds a bit of international flair to the food court. Dishes with Indian, Mongolian, or Portuguese influences will be available. Dishes of note include tandoori chicken or shrimp, roasted acorn squash, a veggie flatbread sandwich on naan and mahi mahi.

The Pizza Shop will bring out the chef in all ages with make-your-own pasta, cheese and pepperoni pizzas and meatball sandwiches on ciabatta bread.

The Burger Shop offers, surprisingly, burgers! Following the gourmet burger trend, the Art of Animation will offer burgers that will be works of at themselves. Guests can select from a breakfast burger, a steak-and-eggs breakfast burger, a surf and turf burger and a pastrami cheeseburger and more. This foodie blogger is getting hungry just thinking about it!

Finally, the walk-up Market Shop offers the typical grab-and-go fare. Drinks, yogurt, bagels, pastries, gourmet cupcakes, cookies and gelato will all be available, but don’t expect the typical prepackaged options. Everything will be made fresh throughout the day, so even this walk-up shop will offer a true Disney quality experience.
